Chardham Yatra

The Char Dham of Uttarakhand — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath — are four sacred temples nestled in the Himalayas. Each shrine holds deep spiritual significance, symbolizing purity, devotion, and salvation. The yatra begins from Yamunotri and ends at Badrinath, covering divine rivers and mountain peaks. It is believed that visiting all four dhams washes away sins and leads to moksha (liberation).

About Chardham Yatra

The Char Dham of Uttarakhand, also known as the Chota Char Dham, includes Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath — four of the holiest shrines in Hinduism nestled amidst the Garhwal Himalayas. The yatra begins at Yamunotri, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, symbolizing purity and protection. It continues to Gangotri, the origin of the sacred Ganga River, worshipped as the goddess of life and forgiveness. The third destination, Kedarnath, is devoted to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, known for its powerful spiritual energy and serene mountain setting. The journey concludes at Badrinath, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, believed to be the seat of salvation and eternal peace. Undertaking the Char Dham Yatra is considered a sacred act of devotion, believed to cleanse one’s soul and lead to moksha. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, rivers, and lush valleys, this pilgrimage beautifully blends natural splendor with deep spiritual significance, drawing millions of devotees every year.
